Is It Normal For A Screw Or Plate From A 2018 Collarbone Surgery To Start Protruding Now, Or Should It Be Checked Immediately?

In late January of 2018 I had a badly broken collarbone from a car accident. It broke on the inner part near my chest. The doctor operated and put a plate and some screws in it. Recently i have what looks like a bump or the end of one of the screws protruding against my skin. It wasn't there during the entire recovery process. I have an appointment to have it looked at in 16 days. Is this normal or something i should have checked out immediately?
