Is It Normal For A Urologist To Dismiss A CT Scan In Favor Of An X-ray And Cystoscopy For Diagnosing Bladder Stones?

I was recently had a ct scan and was diagnosed with bladder stones. I was referred to a urologist. In the meeting the Urololgist did not want to see the ct scan, but instead said I needed to have an xray and cystoscopy in order for him to diagnose number and size. After performing both he informed me I had 6 1cm stones that would need to come out with another more invasive cystoscopy (this one will be under anesthesia). He also said my prostate was enlarged at 30 grams / 79 ML and recommended urolift be done at same time. My questions - 1) Is it normal he dismissed even looking at the ct scan so quickly? I had been under the impression that would have shown specific info on the stones. I am a little apprehensive that I never actually saw anything (xray) that showed the actual stones. The ct scan report did indicate multiple small bladder calculi on right side of the base of bladder - but urologist is claiming 6 of 1cm (which seems large to me)? 2) From what i have seen online - my prostate is just a little larger than normal - would that warrant a procedure such as urolift now or is there a less invasive alternative?
