Is It Normal For Cylindrical Power To Change From 3 To 2.5 In 2 Years?

hi, my son who is 7 years have been diagonsied with a defect of 1.5(short sightend) spherical, 2.75 cylindrical and 10 and 170 axis in respective eyes about 2 years. Now during the recent diagoniss his spherical has reduced to 1.0 but the cylindrical has cahnged to 3 and 2.5 on either eyes. He is using specatacles constantly.Is this level of astigmatism minor or major ? and is this change acceptable ?

In real sense there is no change. Ina child when the refraction is done it should be after giving strong mydriatic like atropine 1%. for strong accommodation power. Refraction without mydroiatic will vary each time. Now the acceptance of child which is most fine should be final. It can be repeated several time and most accurate and fine is the final.
