Is It Normal To Bleed For 6 Weeks After Removing IUD?

I am 52 yr healthy female and had my IUD removed 6 weeks ago, however a week after I started to bleed(my dr said this may happen still and could get heavy at times) Well I am still bleeding, passing clots and then there is a day with no bleeding..is this normal after 6 weeks?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Probably you had the marina, so far. As it contains progesteron,it was taking care of the discharge.
Now as it is removed,you are showing the premenopause. You also might be having pelvic inflammatory disease.
I advise you to consult a gynecologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms fluconazole,cifixime,ornidazole,and hematinics .
