Is It Normal To Experience Pain During Periods After Having Sex?

Hi Doctor, My GF is 22 and we had sex 3 times in last 20 days. Her menstruation cycle starts from 27th each month and this time same got delayed for 4 days. She had her periods on 1st April with unbearable pain in the back and thigh area and had lot of pain in the right side of the stomach as well before menstration cycle this month. Earlier she has her normal periods with nominal pain. Is it something to do with sex we had as she never had sex and this is her first time. Is it normal this time, as she told me she had different type of periods in this cycle.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some infection due to first time sex due to some soreness and induration.
This infection might have precipitated with period giving rise this type of problem.
She might require one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine for 3-5 days.
Consult Gynaec and get examined.
Ok and take care.
