Is It Normal To Feel Hotness After Having Radiotherapy?

I have had breast cancer surgery and finished radiotherapy last Wednesday. I now have what feels, and looks, like prickly heat where the radiotherapy was targeted. Is this normal and what creams can I use. I am currently using E45 (recommended by the hospital) and was prescribed hydrocortisone for burning but can only use that for a week. I am 52 years old. Thanks.

hi,
thanks for writing to hcm.
it is possible to get allergic reactions at the site of radiotheraphy . you are using an emolient which reduces itchiness. you could consult your doctor and also use aqua based shower gels like oilatum and creams like RaLife containing (e.g. hyaluronic acid, glycerin and aloe vera) . take care.
