Is It Normal To Flush Out Lumps Of Diseased Tissue Post FESS?
My husband (63) had FESS for diseased tissue in his nose almost 6 weeks ago. He is getting migraine type headaches & visual aberrations regularly (he did not have these prior to surgery) also he is still very congested and still flushes out lumps of diseased tissue. Is this normal?
He may be suffering from sinusitis with mucous deposition in the sinuses. Diabetic and immuno-compromised patients may develop this chronic sinusitis. Get it done secretions for culture and sensitivity. Continue antibiotics and decongestants. If no improvement, please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
