Is It Normal To Get A Red Bump In The Arm At The Site A Few Weeks After Blood Donation?

I gave blood a few wekse ago. There were no noticeable marks on my arm immediately afterwards, however now, a few weeks later, I have noticed I have a small red bump, about the size of a mosquito bit, exactly were I had blood drawn from. Is this normal?

Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
From your description, it seems you have developed thrombophlebitis and ecchymoses over the site.
Consult a dermatologist for proper management.
Usually, i advise local application of THROMBOPHOB ointment thrice a day over the site. Keep the arm in proper resting position and avoid strenous activity.
oral antibiotics and analgesics may be required additionally.
