Is It Normal To Get Chest Pain After Strenuous Exercise In A Patient Who Had Quadruple Bypass Surgery?

I have chest pain that comes and goes and if I exercise too strenuously. I had quadruple bypass in 2004. My blood pressure is 116/68. I have had this for 3 or 4 months. My cardiologist gave me Ranexa but this doesn t seem to be working. He is currently on vacation. Any suggestions?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possible causes like angina.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
