Is It Normal To Get Period After Conceiving?

Hey I could have conceived 14 days ago. I got my period but it was only a day and a half long (mine are usually 5-7 days long)and i have had some other pregnancy symtoms. I got a ultrasound done today but have not got the hresults back. 14 days after conception would 4mm lining be about right or should it be thicker? Me and my husband are hoping to be pregnant. what do you think?

Hi,
At about the time of onset of a period, the endometrial lining would be 6-8 mm. even without conception. This would be thicker if pregnancy has occurred. 4 mm. is way too thin. Implantation bleeding is a fresh bleed that can be seen at about the time of onset of a natural period. This is due to the implantation of the fertilized embryo in the wall of the uterus. This is a small and short bleed. You can get a home pregnancy test 3-7 days after the expected period or better still, go for the blood test for a better clarification of pregnancy confirmation.
