Is It Normal To Have A Burning Sensation While Urinating After Taking Novacip For A Bacterial Infection?
I was dignose typhoid after medical screening at work and they told me to go to the hospital for treatment , when I went the doctor told me I have bacteria infection and gave me novacip 500 to take for 14 days . Am still taking it but whenever I urinate I fell burning sensation in my vagina.
You have been diagnosed with typhoid. You are prescribed Novacip 500, it is Ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone and much prescribed medicine to treat typhoid. Increase water intake to help flush the urinary tract as you are taking the prescribed medicine. The burning sensation should reduce.
Keep your treating doctor informed about your symptom as you may need a urine test to check for UTI or yeast infection. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods that may worsen irritation. Prefer to take home made nutritious boiled food over junk food, oily food, spicy food, processed or packaged food to help recover faster. Take boiled water after cooling. Be on diet control for three months so that typhoid does not relapse.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
