Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Pressure on the pubic bone is very common during pregnancy, particularly during the third trimester and as term draws near.
This is because of the weight of the gravid uterus.
Also your posture changes, and lumbar lordosis occurs, further putting pressure on the pubic bone.
Get yourself checked though for calcium and vitamin D levels.
I hope you are taking both those supplements.
Also, vitamin B 12 deficiency can lead to severe pubic bone pain.
Try and improve your posture and fitness.
If no complications have been detected so far, then take a walk daily for 30 minutes.
Avoid high heels.
DO not bend / stretch / lift heavy weights.
Use a good pillow / bolster for support.
You can prop yourself up during sleep
Never get up straightaway with a jerk from bed, always turn to the side, and gradually take your time to straighten your spine and get up.
Engage in good antenatal exercise programme.
Mild massage over the pubic bone with Volini gel will help
Take care.
