Is It Normal To Have A Tender Neck For 7 Years Old?

My seven year old daughter's neck frequently pops or cracks. She complains of minor discomfort and fear that "something bad will happen" to it. Is there any reason for concern? Should we have this examined? She did suffer from torticolis at age 4.
