Is It Normal To Have Barking Cough With Slight Pressure During Breathing?

I am a 51 yr old woman whi is about 40 lbs over weight. I have stated snoring more than usual and i have a dry barking cough with a slight pressure when breathing. I am concerned that it is something seriouse or can it be helped with diet and exercise?

Hi, Dry barking cough with pressure can be because of acid reflux irritating the laryngeal inlet which is common with increased weight. Other reasons can be allergic cough. Please take a course of Proton pump inhibitors along with mucolytics and bronchodilator. Take hot water steam also. If no improve see a doctor. Regards
