Is It Normal To Have Blocked Ear After Using Bicarbonate Of Soda Ear Drops?

I have been using Bicarbonate of Soda ear drops as I'm having my ears syringed on Thursday am. I started using them yesterday. Today my ears feel as though they are bunged up with cotton wool and I can't hear very well. My voice also sounds strange to me but obviously not to others. Is this normal?

Hello

The drops are meant to soften and loosen the ear wax and this is a normal reaction to them. The wax has just shifted itself inside the canal
