Is It Normal To Have Cough And Fever After Tonsils And Adenoids Removal?

Hi there my 5 year old had her tonsils and adenoids out 5 days ago and since day 2 has had horrible chesty cough ( coughs a lot and at night non stop) and high fevers. Just wanting to know is this normal or cause for concern . Thankyou in advance :0)

WELCOME TO HCM.
ITS NOT A USUAL THING TO HAPPEN AFTER TONSIL ADENOID SURGERY. U NEED TO TAKE UR CHILD TO A CHEST PHYSICIAN. PROBABLY UR CHILD HAS CAUGHT A FRESH INFECTION OF AIRWAYS. NEEDS TO TAKE MEDICINES SOON TO PREVENT SECONDARY INFECTION OF THE WOUND OF SURGERY IN HIS MOUTH.
