Is It Normal To Have Fever, Body Pains And Chills Post Child Delivery?

I gave birth to my son on May second. Roughly 18 days later I was diagnosed with endomitrititis. Roughly 20 days after that I had poison ivy covering my body (I have had poison ivy before, not like this) roughly 20 days again and I had strep C. 20 days later a head cold so bad I would wake up choking, and it lasted 2 weeks. Again 20 days later, poison ivy. 20 days later, 15 days of diarreah. Now just 2 weeks later, I have a fever, body aches, chills. Up until I had my son, I was very healthy, with your average cold once per year. Is there something I should do? Do I go in?

Hi,
From your explanation, it appears as though you are suffering with generalized immune suppression following delivery. Whether this is related to delivery, puerperal infection, blood loss and so on, can be detected only through a proper clinical examination by a physician, a gynecologist and an immunologist. The baby also should be checked for signs of any infection, especially if you handle him and are giving breast feeds. Please maintain a healthy nutrition and adequate rest. Take care.
