Is It Normal To Have Few Events After Coming Off From CPAP Machine?
I have had sleep apnea, but i recently lost weight from 385 to 220. My sleep apnea changed my cpap machine and pressure when I was around 300 lbs. Because the new sleep apnea machine did not operate the same way as my old machine, I stopped using the cpap machine. Now, I decided to try a oximeter pulse monitor and have results that show I have had several %SpO2 events below 80 and my pulse rate has dropped around 50 at times. I am on IC Lisinopril 5mg and IC Metoprolol Succ ER 25 MG. My question is ... is it normal to have a few events during the night?
This is not normal. You likely need to resume using a CPAP machine. Make sure the mask is re-fitted to account for the new shape of your face. Continue to try to lose weight. Consult with a doctor in-person about this and to fit your mask properly.
