Is It Normal To Have Fluid In My POD?

Hi there, I used to take Yasmin for 4 years and I stopped in late 2012.
I had acute renal infection on 2012 due to UTI.
I had done smear test on May 2012 and everything is fine, diagnosis as "satisfactory smear showing thick areas, hemorrhage, and mild inflammation with reactive changes. Negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy.".
A vaginal swab done on last Nov report shows "culture yields heavy growth of enterococcus species" gram positive bacilli seen; gram positive cocci in pairs seen; pus cells seen.
I do not have discharge now but the last two period was arrive irregularly, as it normally a 24-26 day cycle. My last period was fell on 20th and the current one fall in 31st day.
I did have pain on my left ova and my uterus. Also I did experienced a very bad pain on my first day of period and I would need to go to toilet but nothing came out. I can feel when I would open my bowel I feel the pain in my uterus.

I had a check today and it shows my POD fluid is ++ on the screen but doctor diagnosis as +++ and asked me to take 2 types of anti biotic for 7 days then do other tests (FBS, CBC, TSH & PRL). I resist to take the anti biotic as last nov they gave me some anti biotic and after the swab report arrived they asked me to take another anti biotic bit I was totally recovered after a month.
I am still on my period (4th day) is it normal to have fluid in my POD?

And please advise what tests I should do as the current doctor keeps saying that I have infection due to the fluid which I could not understand as it can be caused by other things hence I could not feel it's an infection.

Thank you.

Hi,
i can understand your concerns. The free fluid can be due to infection especially since its not on day of your ovulation but during your menses. It is definitely not normal but can be due to rupture of a cyst. I will advise you to do a culdocentesis which is drawing of your POD fluid with a needle through your vaginal wall. It can be seen then if its blood or any other fluid which can be cultured and then based on the type of infection if any , the drugs can be given.
