Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
FOR A FEW DAYS NOW i have checked my husbands b/p and pulse with the digital cuff and his pulse is runnung higher then normal its was in the 60's and now its in the 80's but he has been shoveling and snow blowing snow alot we live in wisconsin he had quadruple bypass last jan 2nd and he is 80yrs is this a normal range and he is on meds of course
Hi, A pulse rate in the 80s is fine. However, if his bypass operation was 2nd Jan 2014, I suggest he eases off the snow shovelling. This would be a little too soon to be carrying out this type of physical work. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB FRCA
