Is It Normal To Have Low Hcg Levels In The Early Weeks Of Pregnancy?

im 3 weeks pregnant and yesterday i started passing clots and bleeding heavily, went to the ER and the doctor said my os is still closed. they took some blood tests when they came back thehcg level was 25 and it was really low for a 3 week preganacy, is it normal

hi single hcg reading is not sufficient. yes it is low for the gestational age . but of significance is serial hcg monitoring . when it doubles in 48 hours or less . if it takes longer to double that means it s not viable pregnancy. your pregnancy is too early to even see fetal cardiac activity on ultrasound.so serial hcg monitoring has to be done .u should also start tab duphaston 10 mg twice a day . in case it's still viable pregnancy it ll provide support to the fetus.take care and all the best.
