Is It Normal To Have Numbness And Discolouration On Injection Site?

I stopped injecting Gestone( into outer thigh) mid December and am still exeriencing numbness on the outside of the site, and uncomfortable bruising feeling inside. Also have discolouration around site. Is this normal - I only had 12 injections - 6 in each leg.
