Is It Normal To Have On And Off Vaginal Bleeding After Depo Injection?

Iv been on the depo injection for nearly 2years, I never used to have any vaginal bleeding on ithe injection until it started to run out &i needed another injection... But now, since I had my last injection I have been having bleeding &spotting on & off ever since . Is this normal?

Hi,
Yes, some amount of break through bleeding is common in depo shots. You may need some added progesterone support via tablets if it bothers you. Normally, it stablises in a few weeks.
