Is It Normal To Have Pain And Swelling After Testicular Torsion?

Hi, my son had have operation for left testicular torsion surgery before two weeks, however, he still was feeling a litter pain and swelling. so, i was wonder how long he can recover compeletly. is his testicular with swelling normal? when could he go to school to play game, sprint, and left or carry weight again?

Yes, it is possible to have a mild pain for a few weeks as He must have been operated a bit later than mandatory 4 to 6 hours..OR he must have started activities sooner than advised.
The pain will settle slowly.

HE should take rest till the pain and swelling settles , which in normal patient is 3 weeks. Since it is 2 weeks gone, my advise would be to wait till the whole swelling and pain goes. This may be a few weeks more. No hurry in games and all. This is lifetime opportunity to get recovered completely. So give him a strict warning. This fear from you will help him to take rest and get well sooner and completely.
