Is It Normal To Have Prolonged Bleeding After Menstruation?

my daughter is 12 yrs old and has started her menstral cycle. The problem she has been bleeding constantly for the last 3 months. Her PCP took blood normal she had a pelvic ultrasound done normal. Is this normal for herf to be bleeding so much for so long?
