Is It Normal To Have Red Rashes Around Scrotum After Taking Penicillin Shot?
Hello. I have a 9 year old son who was at the Doctor yesterday they did a strep throat test that came back positive. They gave him a type of Penicillin shot that he would only need once. That was at 3:30pm yesterday and he has been doing a lot better today but now his little balls are red and looks like a rash around his scrotum area. Is this normal?

It would be best to report to his treating doctor, I am sure a test dose was given but this does seem like a reaction to the penicillin administered. I would recommend a visit to his treating doctor.
