Is It Normal To Have Runny Nose And Watery Eyes After A Colonoscopy?

I am a mess...my left nostril is still raw and burning and I have now what appears to either be some sort of cold sores on the top left side of my nose and a big YUCK at the entrance of the left nostril....all this started after the nasal tubing was removed after my colonoscopy...first sneezing, runny nose and tearing eye...and then the breakout of the sores...this started Jan.29th and now it is Feb.6th and I am still miserable although the sneezing and runny nose has stopped but the nostril still feels raw and as if I washed out my nostril with some strong scented soap. What is happening to me. Why did they use oxygen when I can breathe OK. They hurt me in the process of a great exam of the colon. Damn that oxygen!

Hello!
please dont worry! its not the oxygen which caused all this!
its the tube!!
sometimes people may develop an allergy to the tubing or there may be some damage to the nose while inserting the tube!
please dont worry. put saline nasal drops 6-7 times a day and start steam inhalation 4-5 times a day and you will do well.
thanks
