Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you had a re-infection in your tooth and as it was manipulated to change the old filling then there is a possibility that there has been flare up of infection and as the crown has also been placed there is pressure generation inside the tooth and it is leading to pain as there is no place for the pus and infection to drain off which was being previously drained off..
Painkillers will also not relieve the pain until the pressure is relieved..
I would suggest you to consult your treating
dentist or an Endodontist and get evaluated and an
x ray can be done to look for the exact condition of the tooth and get treated accordingly..
You can be advised to get the crown removed followed by repeating the
root canal treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers and once the infection completely subsides and there is no pain in the tooth at all then only get the crown replaced..
As of now you can take higher painkillers like
Tramadol or
Ketorolac to relieve the pain..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
