Is It Normal To Have Sore Hips Months After Falling?

Hi, on 2 Dec 2010 i fell of my horse during its canter. First fall ever . Fell flat on my back, but my left hip touched ground first, I think ,because to this day its still quite sore when I sit for too long etc. Is this normal. I admit i did not go for any xray and I was able tow walk so didn't seem like anything was fractured, but I am beginning to think maybe it did but i didn't notice.? Any suggestions
