Is It Normal To Have Spotting After Taking Norlevo Pills Post Intercourse?
Hi, so I finished my period around last week and I've been having sex with my husband, but then I had unprotected sex yesterday, so i quickly went to take the norlevo pills. I read the instructions and I know there might be spotting and also irregular bleeding, but I took the pill yesterday and I started bleeding today. Is that even normal?
Hi ! Good afternoon and a Happy New Year 2014. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Yes, it could be normal for spotting after taking the pill yesterday. However, as you are having sex for last one week, there is always a chance of conceiving as well and I would advise you for a serum HCG test done for you. If it is high , then a ultrasound of pelvis is indicated after consultation with your gynaecologist.
I hope this information should help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in solving this problem. Thanks for using the healthcare magic forum for your health query. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
