Is It Normal To Have Swelling And Pain Near Eyebrow After Having Stitches?
I had stitches put in my eye brow 3 days ago. I am experiencing alot of pressure in my head and face and it doesn't get better when i take ibuprofen. Everyday since my injury and i had the stitches put in my pain is getting worse and worse. I still have alot of swelling its even swollen under my eye going down my left side of my face. I can't sleep due to all the pain im experiencing. Is this normal and how long till some of the pain goes away. Plus i have been sick to my stomach since the injury also.
Some amount of pain is normal at the site of stitches but if you feel that the pain is disproportionate then it could be due to simmering infection at the site.
In such a case an oral antibiotic (penicillin or cephalosporin group) is advisable along with daily antiseptic dressing.
A pain killer+ serratiopeptidase combination would be more effective in decreasing the swelling, pain.
hope this helps
take care regards
