Is It Normal To Have Swollen Neck Lymph Nodes In Children Despite Medication?

My 7 year old has chronic tonsillitis. She was just given Augmentin on Thurs evening (first dose) 7ML She usually gets significant fevers - which is also true this time - and I alternate with Tyenol and IB profen. The only thing different this time is that the right side of her neck is swollen and she says it hurts her to turn her head. This is her 2nd full day on antibiotic. Is this normal? How much longer should I wait before taking her to er? Not paying for an answer - sorry.
