Is It Normal To Have Tingling Sensation And Numbness After Taking Benadryl Injection?
Hello. I was given an IM injection of Benadryl in my right upper arm to combat an allergic reaction. Initially just the injection site was numb, but now, two days later, a large portion of my arm radiating down to my hand is numb and tingley. Is this normal after an IM injection, or is this cause for concern? Thank you!
Hi Benadryl is an anti allergic injection and numbness and tingling sensation is not due to this injection. As you mentioned that numbness and tingling sensation is radiating to large part , so this is a cause of concern . This may be due to injection around nerve part or due to thrombophlebitis. In my opinion consult your doctor and get his opinion. Good luck.
