Is It Normal To Have Vaginal Bleeding And Leg Pain Post Colonoscopy?

I had a colonoscopy yesterday and endoscopy I now have very very heavy bright red vaginal bleeding and also my calve in one leg is really really painful! Is this normal ? I rang endoscopy suite at the hopsital I went to and they just told me to ring my gp if I was worried! :(

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Vaginal bleeding is unlikely to occur post-colonoscopy and they may be unrelated.
However, you need to sure that the bleeding is vaginal only and not rectal.
I suggest you to ensure the site of bleeding and if vaginal please see that you are having periods or not.
Pain in the calf is also unlikely to be associated with colonoscopy.
You may contact your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment of the calf.
The pain may be muscular and muscle relaxants will help.
However, the two symptoms are unlikely to be due to colonoscopy.
