Is It Normal To Have Weird Taste In Mouth After Wisdom Tooth Removal?

Hi I had wisdom tooth removed last week thursday I now have funny taste in my mouth and noticed pussy stuff in there. I have been rinsing mouth out a looking after area but this taste is vile I'm also having stomach pain. Wondered Could this be related.

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that if you have pussy content in the socket it can either be due to infection in the socket leading to pus formation and the altered taste can be due to pus..
The stomach ache can be some what related to it as swallowing of pus can cause infection in stomach causing stomach cramps and can also case diarrhoea..

Another condition can be that the white thing which you are describing pussy is nothing but the healing tissue present in the socket which appears white initially..
The altered taste in mouth can be due to intake of medicines which must be given to you like antibiotics and painkillers after the extraction procedure as well as the medicines can cause stomach cramps..

I would suggest you to consult your dentist to get evaluated for the exact cause of the problem and in case there s pus formation irrigation of the socket with hydrogen peroxide,betadine and saline followed by antibiotics can help and in case healing is not taking place due to dislodged clot causing DRY SOCKET zinc oxide eugenol dressing can be placed .

In case it is healing tissue then no need to worry and taking empty stomach Pantoprazole 40 mg can help..
