Is It Nothing Serious Of Getting A Racing Heart Along With Anxiety Or Adrenaline Rush ?
Hi, I recently keep getting a racing heart along with a "anxious" feeling or adrenaline rush (although I have nothing to be anxious about). Occasionally, it will cause a bit of a head rush and make me slightly out of breath. It generally happens in the evening, when I'm resting and only last a few seconds, but will come and go throughout the evening. I have also noticed i have palputations (like my heart beat skips a beat). I'm in my late 20s, don't drink or smoke and generally healthy. My mother suffers with palputations and is on medication. Is this something that will pass or triggered by anything please?
With the symptoms that you are mentioning you are most likely experiencing generalized anxiety with panic attacks that cause your heartbeat to race like this. However, having said that, in any person who has a high heart rate the first thing that I would do regardless is to have an EKG done to make sure that its normal because sometimes this may be a problem with the heart rhythm and that is what I would like to rule out. If that is ruled out then I would like to put you on medications for anxiety like lexapro along with something like alprazolam on an as required basis when you have panic attacks. Regards
