Is It Ok To Have One Tramadol Before A Scheduled Hand Surgery?

I m having hand surgery on Thursday. The surgeon told me to come off the tramadol 5 days before the surgery. I ve missed two pills today and having bad side effects. I m having anxiety, nervousness, legs can t be still. Do I need to stay off the medication or take one?

Hello

Yes, should stay off as recommended by your surgeon as it might interfere with anesthethic medications.

Can take other meds like paracetamol (acetaminophen) instead until the day of the surgery.
