Is It Ok To Take Losartan And Diltiazem Together?

I recently changed Dr who prescribed Diltiazem for me. My prev doctor left Med Ctr & prescribed Procardia Xl that I did not want to take due to side effects (I read comments from others who had awful side effects that I found alarming). I told my new Dr I did not feel comfortable taking this med. & did not fill prescrip until talked to him.

My previous Dr told me to stop taking Maxide & replace it w/ Procardia because my pressure was around 140/? . I was taking Losartan, Maxide, Vytorin, Caltrate 600, vitamin D3 (1000 iu) & 2 low dose aspirin.

Filled my prescrip yesterday but to make a long story short--is it ok taking both the Losarten and the Diltiazem. ?
