Is It Possible For A Peritonsillar Abscess To Re-occur Even After It Has Been Drained?

Hi I’ve just been discharged from Hospital, I had a Quinsey, they tried to drain it twice and on third attempt it popped and they were happy to discharge me with a weeks worth of drugs how likely is it that in the next week it could reinflate or come back?
