Is It Possible That Earache And Sore Throat Is Caused By Medication Taken For GERD?

I am 46, female, smoke appx 8 cigarettes per day. Been having earaches off and on for 7 months, sore throat for almost one month. Been to ent 3 months ago he didnt see any issue with my ears. I am on 2 meds for gerd. Seeing my gp in 2 weeks. Very concerned.
