Is It Possible To Be Pregnant While Having Tubal Ligation?

For the last four months my period has been really weird! Its either 3 or four days late or only last two to three days or light and or medium heavy with stringy blood clots! I had a tubal 14 years ago! Three months ago I had to go to the ER cause I was hurting so bad and found out I had a UTI! The last time I had an UTI I was pregnant with my daughter 19 years ago! I have been to the doctors a few times lately because I was getting nauseous, breast were very tender, indigestion, etc... I was getting very concerned and the last 3 doctors I have seen have refused to take a blood test and a pregnancy test. For the fact of having a tubal! I have taken several home pregnancy test and all negative. I have gained about 8 pounds in the last four months and my belly is starting to stick out! I am on my I think period now which was 4 days late this time which my cycle has been 26 days for 5 years! My husband and I have been having sex more than usual but of course we have 3 kids! Im 36 and had a tubal in 99. Every doctor I have seen has blown me off like they don t want to listen to my questions. now I have lost my insurance threw my husband work because did not qualify for Obama Care so I have to try to find answers on the net. And yes I feel like Im pregnant!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Yes pregnancy is still possible even after a tubal ligation, but this mostly results in an ectopic pregnancy which is considered an emergency condition.

If at all you feel pregnant, please try to repeat a pregnancy test as often as possible. Also request a doctor to conduct an ultrasound examination to confirm/rule out pregnancy.

And please note that if you feel extreme lower abdominal pain at any time, report to an ER at the earliest.
