Is It Possible To Deliver At 37 Weeks If Placenta Is High And Presentation Is Cephalic?
My placenta location during my 33rd weeks and 4days of pregnancy is posterior high lying and grade two, while the amiotic fluid is adequate and it is in cephalic presentation, now i'm on my 35th weeks is it possible to deliver my daugther on my 37th weeks of pregnancy ?
Hi, The ultrasound findings are normal. The location of the placenta of your baby is absolutely normal. You have not written whether this is your first pregnancy? Have you have had cesarean sections before? Do you have any problems like diabetes and hypertension? I am answering presuming this to be your first pregnancy and that you have no other problems.. If you get labour pains by 37 weeks you can deliver. It is important that you wait for spontaneous onset of labour pains. The best outcome for baby is when you deliver between 38-40 weeks. If you dont deliver by 40 weeks, If I am your doctor,I will do internal examination for assessment and sweeping ( slight separation of fetal sac from uterus through vaginal examination). Sweeping helps in initiation of labour pains. I will induce labour pains if you dont deliver by 41 weeks. I hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
