Is It Possible To Get BV From Laser Treatment?

I recently got diagnosed with BV. But I'm wondering now how long I had it. Reading further about it I noticed some signs that may have been there. One I got laser Brazilian bikini and since that time I had irregular periods discoloring on bikini line and inner thighs. Could that all have been a coincidence ? Could you get BV from Laser Treatments? This has been going on 3 years since my first laser treatment. My discharge and smell just happened this month. Thanks

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

No. I don't think that BV can be caused due to laser treatment so I would advise you to apply clotrimazole suppositories at night for six years. Also, have anti-fungal drugs itraconazole 200 mg weekly for four weeks.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
