Is It Possible To Get Breast Cancer Again?

i MAY HAVE A REOCCURANCE OF BREAST CANCER. i AM HAVING A BIOPSY NEXT WEEK. I HAD A BI-LATERAL MASTECTOMY 10 YEARS AGO AND THIS GROWTH IS RIGHT ON THE INCISION LINE FROM MY RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY. iS IT POSSIBLE TO GET BREAST CANCER AGAIN EVEN THOUGH i i DON T HAVE REAL BREAST?

Hi. It is possible to get breast cancer recurrence even after many many years of treatment. Although you do not have real breasts but cancerous cells may be hiding there for long time and have survived the treatment you received earlier and now get chance to grow again. The chances of recurrence reduce with time but it never become zero, ironically. You should get biopsy to confirm whether its recurrence or not. Hope I have answered your query.
