Is It Possible To Get The Herpes Strain 1 On The Genitals?
I'm wondering about herpes. I have the herpes simplex strain 1 oral herpes virus. Had it since a little girl. My boyfriend has it too. We have given each other oral sex but never with a cold sore present. Is t possible for me to have strain 1 on my genitals?

Yes, it is very much possible to have HSV type I virus causing genital herpes. It was traditionally known to cause oro-labial herpes and HSV type 2 to cause genital herpes but due to changing sexual preferences this margin has blurred.
