Is It Possible To Have A Second Root Canal After 25 Years On The Same Tooth?

I had a root canal done 25 years ago. I recenlty broke the crown and went to my current dentist for repair. He took an x-ray and said he sees "haloing" possible infection. He said he needs to do another root canal. Is this possible? one was done 25 years ago. Not to mention the 2nd root canal will be out of pocket.

Yes ,it is possible and good to to get the retreatment done before putting the crown,to avoid infection in the tooth.

I would advice you to go ahead with the re root canal treatment,followed by the placement of crown.
