Is It Possible To Trigger The Period During Pap Smear Exam?
Hello! I need a second opinion. I m a breastfeeding mother of 13 m.o. boy. Since postpartum bleeding there was no period till now.. I had my pap smear exam two days ago and a few hours later the bleeding occurred. I thought it was just spotting but it hasn t stopped. I called the doctor but she said that it could be just my period starts after they touched the cervix. The question is how is it possible to trigger period during pap smear exam?
No triggering of period due to Pap smear examination. Your gynecologist has rightly said, if you are above 30 years old, it is advisable that you should go for a Pap smear examination.
