Is It Really True That After 24 Hrs The Ovulation Would Stop?

Each time my wife goes to see her Doctor for an ovulation test she returns demanding we should make love before 2400hrs; with such anxiety we end up not doing it before the time but later. Is it really true that after 2400hrs the ovulation would stop?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Ovum released from ovary is called ovulation.THe ovum thus released out , is viable for 24-36 hours.
So your wife is correct in saying that you need to have unprotected sex witin 24-36 hours of ovulation.Earlier the better. There is no chance of conception by sex after the time limit.
* similarly, once deposited in vagina sperms take few hours to reach the released ovum. The sperm remains capable of fertilising ovum for 3 days.
From this point of view.. sex maximum 3 days prior to ovulation to 24 hours of ovulation will help in conception.
Thanks.
