Is It Required To Stop Cerazette Before Minor Surgery?

Hello ! I have been taking cerazette for 4 years without any periods. I am due to have a minor operation in 8 weeks time. I was given a leaflet explaining the pill needs to be stopped 6 weeks before op! I really dont want to start having periods again! Do I need to stop taking it
