Is It Required To Take Choriomon 5000 Injection For Low HCG Level In 5th Month Of Pregnancy?

Hello, Sir I am on my 5th week of pregnancy. 3 days ago my HCG level was 560 and the doctor gave me choriomon 5000 injection. Was it really necessary to take this injection or it was too early to decide on the chances of miscarriage due to this level of HCG?Many Thanks.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
It is not clear weather you are 5 weeks or 5 months pregnant.
- In five weeks pregnancy, yes- low HCG levels do indicate possibility of abortion, & in such case HCG injection is indicated to fullfill the deficit & create good atmosphere for baby to grow.
- But if it's 5 months- HCG level tends to drop down, & is not sinificant to predict abortion , here USG pregnancy scan helps in diagnosis of possibility of abortion & treatment is decided according to findings.
